last week,muhd's class made cocktails(out of fruits,of course!)he chose strawberries and apples hence the name stropal.his friends used mangoes,bananas,grapes etc...when asked how it tasted like,he just said "all the smoothies taste terrible",haha...apparently they didnt use any sugar to make it healthy.strawberries here arent sweet at all unlike the ones(some,anyway) in other countries.
its munira's bday today.i just made a banana cake since she requested it.she's feeling rather sad as there is nothing special going on today.her friend burcu was supposed to come today but she didnt.maybe we will take her somewhere later.

cartoon strip
there was a cartoon strip competition last two weeks.muhd wanted to enter it but had somehow forgotten to work on it until the last minute.he pestered me to help so i searched for a pencil(sharpened,of course!) and a paper.then he asked "what should i draw?" and i said "up to you.think of a short story and work on it"
half an hour later he asked me again and since i had a lot of house chores to be taken care of,i asked him to ask his dad.hubby helped him and the story was about a chicken and a tiger.muhd wanted to dra a real tiger but his dad said "we dont have time since the closing date is tomorrow.why dont u just draw a stick tiger?" my son was not happy but he reluctantly followed the advice.he coloured the strip and handed it in the next day.
a few days later he came home with a prize-stabilo highlighters."look ma,i won!!' apparently he was the winner for his class and very proud of it.but hubby who helped,was the proudest of all!hehehe....
its a pity i didnt snap a photo of the cartoon strip....

my second daughter's bm is going downhill eversince she is in the international school.yesterday she asked me "ma,what did u cook?"."kari ayam,i replied."what are we eating it with?" "nasiklah!"then she asked again,"what about the lemak?" "HA??" "u know,lemak?"HA??" "u know,fish,chicken" oooo.....lauk......haha......

hari raya puasa 2010
for the fifth time,we celebrated raya abroad minus families and relatives.twice in oman,once in holland and twice in qatar.pity the kids actually as they miss the true meaning of raya.i enjoyed my raya very much when i was a child but to my kids it is just another day...:(
gold coast part 2
we went twice to sea world.the kids wanted to look at the sharks again and also bcos we forgot to bring our camera the first time around.haha!

we went to goldcoast australia during the summer (july 2010). my father followed us which was quite surprising. we were there for 9 days, 8nights.too long,if u ask me.
anyway,we went to the movie world,sea world and wet n wild.we've been here before in 2002 but since muhd wasnt born yet at that time,he requested we go again.above are some pictures....

fun day
we went to villagio yesterday.had sushi for lunch and as usual the kiosk was empty.i guess qataris and the mat sallehs dont really favour japanese food.TGIF was full as usual.
after that we went to hunt for the sale sign.kakak spotted the first shop with that signage.spring,a shoe shop which i have never heard of before but clearly a place she has patronized while shopping with her friend.i bought one sandal for her and she walked out of the shop in it with her old crocs in the box.
adik has been harrassing me for a new dress for her year end party.finally we found one at H&M.she picked a floral dress along with a white tights.i wanted to find a pair of sandals for myself and saw a nice one at the zara window display.we went inside and found it but when i tried it on,it didnt look quite as nice as it was on the mannequin.haha!instead adik bought another dress which i,myself liked.kakak was not happy adik got 2 dresses.oh well!cant please everyone.she doesnt realise the numerous times she came home with more things than adik...
since muhd didnt have any sushi earlier on,he was quite famished by the end of the shopping spree.so,we ended up eating pizza and garlic bread before heading home.

fashion show
kakak got a taste of a life of a model yesterday.she modelled her own creation at grand hyatt out of recycled items.i sent her there and was planning to go and see her walk the runway(it turned out the stairs!) but i was exhausted after a days hard work.im really sorry kakak....hubby went after maghrib prayers but was too late!the event was a short one and when he arrived,the show had already ended.
we didnt go anywhere today.dont know where to go actually...every week,its the mall.cant wait to go back to msia.

chilis
we went to city centre for lunch just now.hubby wanted to eat at chilis while mun wanted to go to applebees.mestilah hubby menang.maybe next time,mun...
we ordered steaks,pasta,burger,garlic bread and molten cake.the molten cake dissapeared in seconds!
later on,we proceeded home.hubby had to go back to office and the four of us headed home,stomach fully stuffed.we stopped by at a nearby grocery store to buy fluffy's food.

school break
the kids are enjoying their school break now.even if it is only for 3 days(well,5 if u count the weekends).kakak is already at villagio(mall) with her friend.munira came back yesterday from her sleepover looking happy but tired too(due to late night chit chats with friends).it seems muhd is the only one without activities.he spends most of his time watching wrestling and playing wrestling(on play station and his bolster)
hubby is quite upset today resulting from work related.biasalah,bos arab....
me?what can i say.still wrapped in self pity and depression.abah and thir had an accident last night at tapah.the car was a wreck but alhamdulillah nobody was injured.it was raining heavily and thir hit the divider causing him to lose control of the car.
mcm2 jadi kat family we all ni.we must start repenting,i guess for all the sins we made.

laksa terengganu
my first attempt in making laksa terengganu.bolehlah....a rather simplified version catered to our likings.x de timun only kacang panjang.
munira will be sleeping over at a her friend's house.she is very excited.my only worry is the food prepared by the friend's mum as they are not muslims.harap2 x de lah benda2 haram.ive already told her to be very careful when selecting her dishes.
